Bajaj has launched its electric scooter named 'CHETAK'. This Chetak Urban is available in two variants as Urban and Premium. The price of the Urban variant is ₹ 1 lakh and the premium variant is priced at ₹ 1,15,000 which is ₹15,000 more than general one.

The premium model comes with a metallic color paint, leather-like Tan Seat, wheel and front disc brakes in metallic colors. Only the drum brake on the Urban model. These scooters are on sale first in Pune and Bangalore. These will go on sale to the metro cities of Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai a few months later.

You can test this scooter in KDM showrooms. However, at present the bookings can only be made via the internet. The scooter will arrive in Pune and Bangalore showrooms later this month.

Bajaj Chetak runs on a 4.1Kw motor. It can go up to a maximum speed of 80 km / h. 16Nm Dark Quality. The milage range i expect can be anywhere from 65 to 85 km depending on the mode of riding at full charge. It takes about 5 hours to charge this scooter 100%. There is no fast charging facility right now, can be expected sooner in up coming models. This electric scooter comes with a 3 year / 50,000 km warranty. This scooter has a 3 kW battery. It takes 3 units of electricity to travel average 95 kms as per Bajaj.
